Terms of sale

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs) govern the sale of made-to-order jewelry by Mutagene, a business registered under number 940 457 542, with its registered office at 38 rue de Dunkerque, 75009 Paris, via its online store accessible at: mutagene.fr.

By placing an order on the website, the customer fully and unreservedly agrees to these T&Cs.

2. Products

The products offered for sale are handcrafted jewelry. Each piece is unique and may show slight variations from the images displayed on the website.

In accordance with French regulations, our products has an ADEME Unique Identifier (IDU) for environmental tracking purposes.

3. Order Process

Orders become final once payment has been confirmed. An order confirmation email is sent to the address provided by the customer.

Once validated, orders cannot be modified, but they may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery, subject to our return policy.

4. Prices

All prices are listed in Euros (€), and VAT-free, in accordance with Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code, but excluding delivery charges. Mutagene reserves the right to modify prices at any time. However, products will be charged based on the prices in effect at the time of order confirmation. 

5. Production and Delivery Times

Please allow up to 5 calendar days for order processing (excluding public holidays). Most orders are processed within 1-3 days, including careful preparation and quality control, before being shipped.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday. Delivery times vary depending on your location and may be affected by transit delays or customs clearance:

France : 2-4 business days
EU : 2-6 business days
International : 3-8 business days

6. Customs Duties and Import Taxes

For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, local taxes, or import fees may be charged upon arrival of the parcel.

These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the product price or shipping costs. It is the customer’s responsibility to check with their local customs office to determine any applicable duties or taxes before placing an order.

By confirming your order, you agree to pay any applicable customs fees upon delivery.

7. Payment

Payment is made online via credit card or other secure payment methods available on the website. Orders will only be processed once payment has been confirmed.

8. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, customers have the right to return or exchange products within 14 days of receipt, provided that the items are:

  • Unused and unworn,

  • Returned in their original condition,

  • In their original packaging, including any accessories or documentation.

To initiate a return, please contact us by email at agent@mutagene.fr with your order number and reason for return. We will provide instructions for returning the item.

The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Refunds will be issued within 14 days after the returned items have been received and inspected, excluding delivery charges.

9. Warranty and Claims

Our products are covered by the legal warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects, as provided by Articles L.217-4 and following of the French Consumer Code and Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code.

Any claims must be submitted within a reasonable timeframe after receipt, by email to agent@mutagene.fr, including supporting photos of the issue.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the website (text, images, jewelry designs, etc.) is the exclusive property of Mutagene and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is strictly prohibited.

11. Personal Data

The information collected during the order process is necessary for managing customer relations and fulfilling orders. Data is processed in accordance with current data protection regulations. Customers have the right to access, modify, or delete their personal information by contacting agent@mutagene.fr.

12. Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority. You have the option to use a consumer mediator free of charge. You can contact the mediator at :

This process provides an amicable alternative before any legal action. Failing that, the matter shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
